On
behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordanian
Armed Forces, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef
Huneiti, patronized the graduation ceremony of the 21st National Defense Course
and the 7th Master's Program in Strategies for Countering Extremism and
Terrorism, and the inauguration of the Khalid bin Al-Walid Auditorium at the
Royal Jordanian National Defense College on Thursday
Officers
from various branches of the Jordanian Armed Forces—the Arab Army and security
agencies—and employees from various ministries and institutions participated in
the two programs, in addition to a number of officers from brotherly and
friendly countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates,
the Arab Republic of Egypt, Oman, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait,
Bahrain, Pakistan, and the United States of America.
The
College Commandant said, "Today, amidst the national celebrations, the
College is proud to present to the nation, the Armed Forces, and the
participating countries a new group of promising leaders who have received
advanced scientific and intellectual training in line with the requirements of
the times. He explained that the College has been committed to sustainable modernization
and development and has recently embarked on implementing a comprehensive
development plan that includes an organizational structure, infrastructure, and
technical and technological infrastructure to keep pace with the requirements
of the modern era and in implementation of His Majesty the King's vision and
the mission of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army in modernization and
development
At
the end of the ceremony, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff distributed
certificates to the graduates and signed the guest book, expressing his pride
in the level of development the College has achieved on both the military and
academic levels
The
graduation ceremony was attended by the Director of Intelligence, the President
of Mutah University, the Assistant Director of Public Security for Operations,
a number of senior officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces, and a number of
ambassadors and military attachés from sisterly and friendly countries
accredited to Jordan
