Chief
of Staff Committee of Pakistan's Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir
Shamshad Mirza, delivered a lecture on Tuesday at the Royal Jordanian National
Defense College, titled "The Emerging Security Environment and Pakistan's
Role in Building Regional Peace and Stability." The lecture was delivered
to students of the 21st Defense Course and the Master's Program in Strategies
for Countering Extremism and Terrorism.
The
lecture addressed topics related to the strategic, regional, and international
environment, geostrategy, and geopolitics. It also highlighted Pakistan's
contributions to ensuring international peace and stability. He emphasized
Pakistan's position on peace in the Middle East, stating that it is not
possible without resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and adhering to
relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
General
Mirza affirmed Pakistan's condemnation of the Israeli aggression on Gaza,
noting Pakistan's demand for the establishment of an independent Palestinian
state on the June 4, 1967, borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.
At
the end of the visit, Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza wrote a note in
the guest book, praising the college's world-class academic standards. He
thanked the Jordanian Armed Forces for providing this opportunity and expressed
his desire to strengthen and diversify relations with the Jordanian Armed
Forces - the Arab Army.
