Minister
of Interior Mazen Al-Faraya stated, "National unity is one of the most
important pillars of internal security and the foundation of security and
stability in the country."
This
came during a lecture he delivered on Tuesday at the Royal Jordanian National
Defense College, titled "The Ministry of Interior's Strategy for
Preserving Jordanian National Security." The lecture was delivered to
students in the 21st National Defense Course and the 7th Master's Program in
Strategies for Countering Extremism and Terrorism.
Al-Faraya
explained that the concept of security is based on preserving the state's
integrity and achieving political, social, and economic stability. It is a
dynamic concept that evolves with changing circumstances, based on numerous considerations,
and is closely linked to internal and external conditions and changes.
The
Minister of Interior indicated that the Ministry of Interior's strategy for
preserving Jordanian national security aligns with national objectives, noting
that the Ministry's responsibilities encompass all matters related to the
nation in various fields and sectors. It is responsible for the security and
executive apparatus in the governorates, and operates on three axes: security,
administration, and development.
At
the end of the lecture, an extensive discussion took place, during which the
lecturer answered the students' questions and inquiries.
