On
behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed
Forces, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti
attended the graduation ceremony of the 20th National Defense Course at the
Royal Jordanian National Defense College on Monday. The course featured
graduates of the Master's in Management and Strategic Studies and the Master's
in Strategies for Countering Extremism and Terrorism 6 program.
Officers
from various branches of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, and
security agencies, as well as employees from various ministries and
institutions, participated in the two programs, in addition to officers from
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Arab Republic of
Egypt, Oman, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Sudan,
Pakistan, the United States of America, and Germany.
The
College Commandant, Brigadier General Azzam Al-Rawahneh, said, "The
College is proud to present to the nation, the Armed Forces, and the
participating countries a new group of promising leaders who have received
advanced scientific and intellectual training, consistent with the requirements
of the times and comparable to the levels of high-level strategic training at
major universities, institutes, and academies worldwide."
Brigadier
General Al-Rawahneh pointed out that the College, in implementation of His
Majesty the King's vision and the mission of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army,
has witnessed significant progress in keeping pace with the demands of the
times in terms of modernization and development. The National Defense College
has embarked on implementing a comprehensive development plan along three
parallel axes, encompassing infrastructure, technical and technological
infrastructure, and academic structure. This is achieved by developing the
organizational structure, study plans, curricula, tools, and methods, in
accordance with a pioneering global approach that encompasses everything
related to strategic planning and decision-making in the digital world. The
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff wrote a note in the guest book,
expressing his pride in the advanced level achieved by students at the Royal
National Defense College, both militarily and academically.
The
graduation ceremony was attended by the Director General of Public Security, a
number of senior officers from the armed forces and security services, the
President of Mutah University, a number of civilian officials, and a number of
ambassadors and military attachés accredited to Jordan from the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Arab Republic of Egypt, Oman, the
State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Sudan, Pakistan, the
United States of America, and Germany.
