President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Omar Sissoko-Ombalo and the accompanying delegation visited the Royal Jordanian National Defense College on Tuesday, in the presence of Minister of Youth Muhammad Salama Nabulsi, head of the accompanying mission.
President Ombalo was received by the Assistant Chairman of the Joint Staff for Planning, Organization and Defense Resources, Brigadier General Staff Dr. Youssef Al-Khatib, the Commandant of the College, Brigadier General Staff Azzam Al-Rawahneh, and the head and members of the directing staff in the College.
During the visit, President Ombalo participated in a symposium on "Emerging Terrorist Threats: Europe, the Middle East, and Africa", which was held by the College in cooperation with the Norwegian Embassy in Amman, stressing the need for security cooperation at the global level to confront the scourge of extremism and terrorism in the world.
President Ombalo listened to a briefing on the establishment of the College, its objectives, study programs and national mission. He also toured its facilities and wrote a word in the visitors' book.
At the end of the visit, President Ombalo praised the outstanding scientific level of the college at the national and international levels.
