Commandant of the National Defense College, Brigadier General Azzam Al Rawahneh opened the symposium with a speech in which he pointed out the importance of holding such symposiums, which contributes to the acquisition of experiences and the exchange of knowledge, indicating that the world is witnessing today very complex variables produced by the variables of the strategic environment.
Brigadier General P.S.C. Rawahneh added that there are many contemporary international issues that have an impact on global peace and security, and have a negative impact on the security and stability of the international environment, which requires the development of scientific and practical solutions and foundations to confront the possibilities of aggravation and increase in the danger of these issues, stressing that such seminars The partnership gives the opportunity to exchange opinions, ideas, and security and scientific experiences, in order to come up with clear-cut solutions and strategies that contribute to achieving food and water security in the region and the world.
During the symposium, many axes related to global challenges, such as climate change, the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, and the Corona crisis, were discussed, and their impact on water and food security at the local, regional and international levels.
