the commander of National Defense
College, said Brigadier General Nasser Al-mherat that international
organization is involuntary gathering for a number of international law persons
is the establishment of a permanent body Under international agreement and the
will of the autonomous region with a distinct legal system and independent bodies
which exercise organized activities to achieve the common goal of the purpose
for which it was established.
This came during a lecture on
Sunday at the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College, entitled
"International organization and the maintenance of international peace and
security".
He added that The Hashemite
Kingdom of Jordan had played a privileged role in consolidating the concepts of
international peace and security, where it joined as a member of the United
Nations on 11 December 1955. The most important duties and roles of the
Jordanian armed forces in maintaining international peace and security are the
implementation of Security Council resolutions in addition to observation and
control of the ceasefire line, protection of local networks and camps,
protection of humanitarian convoys, international relief and control of the
stages of the electoral process.
In addition, The duties and
humanitarian roles, which consists in
the building and renovation of places of worship and the distribution of
humanitarian assistance to children and school students and treatment of
patients and the establishment of free medical days and aid the needy and
afflicted by natural disasters or wars.
At the end of the lecture was an
extensive discussion in which Brigadier Nasser Al-mherat answered the queries
and questions of the audience
