Inauguration of the Diplomacy and International Security Policy Course at the National Defense College

The commander of the college said: “Holding such courses comes in fulfillment of the visions of His Majesty the Supreme Commander King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, and in implementation of the policy of the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army in communicating with major international academic institutions alongside national academic institutions, and in light of the directions of Both the Royal Jordanian National Defense College and the Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP) in establishing this communication and qualifying the promising leadership elements in the countries of the world in the field of diplomacy and international security policy. The five-day course aims to qualify officers from different countries of the world to work as military attaches, and to understand the roles that defense diplomacy and security policies play in strengthening relations between the various armies of the world, to exchange views and ideas on the basic concepts of diplomacy and international security policy and to establish a common understanding on topics of interest. In addition to training officers on local and international procedures to deal with the various elements of national and international security in an environment of different parties and cultures and in a manner commensurate with their professional future. It is noteworthy that this course is the fourteenth of its kind held by the Royal Jordanian National Defense College in cooperation with the Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP), with the participation of 27 participants from different countries of the world in addition to Jordan.
