Inauguration of the Crisis and Disaster Management Program at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College

Brigadier General Al-Zoubi explained during a lecture he gave within the program entitled “Crisis Management Concept and Vision” the importance of integrating the theoretical concept of crisis and disaster management with the actual application of models managed and dealt with by the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, in order to mature this concept from the political, operational and strategic planning angle. The lecture included an explanation of the concept of crisis and disaster management in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the levels of dealing with it on the one hand, and an explanation of the nature and vision of the National Center for Security and Crisis Management on the other hand, in order to enhance the general understanding of the crisis management system and the tools and roles assigned to the relevant agency at all tactical, operational and strategic levels. This program contains training on several topics, the most important of which are crisis management, concept and vision, crisis and disaster management, risk management and business continuity, which targets all state employees in ministries, government agencies and independent institutions. It is noteworthy that the National Defense College is interested in preparing leadership elements from the various sectors of the state (military and civilian) by studying and analyzing the basic elements affecting national security, educating the various leaders in the state in the field of national security and state strategy, and conducting strategic studies on issues related to national security in current and future conditions.
