Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration lecturing at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College

On Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration Tawfiq Krishan gave a lecture to scholars in the 19th Defense Course entitled "The Role of the Ministry of Local Administration and Municipalities in consolidating and strengthening national security." In the presence of the college's commander, Brigadier General, Dr. Awad Al-Tarawneh, and the head and members of directing staff. During the lecture, Krishan said: "The role of municipalities is not only a service or developmental role, but a key role in strengthening national political, economic, developmental, military, security, societal and clan security, because the heads and members of municipal councils and municipal employees are the first real and civil field auxiliary to support the armed forces and security services, especially In wars, crises, disasters, pandemics, and others, because the municipalities, with their geographical, service and development map, cover most regions of the Kingdom, and are also the closest to the citizen’s pulse and know closely their needs and aspirations.” The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration stressed that municipalities are the auxiliary of national security in crises and times of natural and unnatural disasters, because they possess the expertise, competencies, cadres, devices, mechanisms and programs that give them the strength to be a true partner in national security along with other national agencies. Krishan indicated that the municipalities stood by the White Health Army during the Corona crisis with all their capabilities to limit the spread of the Corona virus among citizens, and were able to succeed in being a national partner in addressing the Corona crisis. At the end of the lecture, an extensive discussion took place, during which the guest answered the questions and inquiries of the scholars.
