on Tuesday, at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College, Minister of Social Development Ayman Riad Al-Mufleh gave a lecture entitled "The Ministry of Social Development and its Role in Preserving Jordan's National Security" for scholars in the 19th National Defense Course, in the presence of the head and members of the college's directing staff.
Al-Mufleh said: "Jordan has a long experience with programs designed to protect its citizens, enable them to meet basic needs, and enhance their ability to deal with risks that lead them to poverty by expanding the scope of social protection programs and launching a national and sectoral strategy to ensure a decent life for citizens.
The Minister of Social Development indicated that the ministry has been implementing several social protection programs and to meet the needs of the recipients of its services and to ensure that it reaches all vulnerable and vulnerable groups in an integrated and participatory manner with its implementing partners in order to improve the quality and quality of its services.
Al-Mufleh stressed that the ministry is concerned with implementing programs and interventions related to social protection through its roles, namely the care role of providing care services to vulnerable individuals and marginalized groups such as (children without family bonds, juveniles, people with disabilities, the elderly, battered women, victims of trafficking). human beings), in addition to the developmental role of contributing to enhancing the productivity of individuals, their families and their local communities and reducing poverty, by registering and empowering associations, providing productive projects and loans, building, purchasing and maintaining housing, and reviewing and developing social legislation.
Al-Mufleh explained that one of the main challenges facing the social protection sector is the introduction of some legislations regulating the work of the social protection sector in Jordan.
