A delegation from NATO Defense College / Rome, headed by Lieutenant-General Oliver Pierre Rittmann, visited RJNDC today, Tuesday. The visit aims to identify security threats and challenges facing different countries and to explain their strategy in drawing up their foreign policies to build their position towards global issues, in order to help scholars and expand their understanding in the field of strategic planning and international policy formulation by listening to lectures from various relevant national authorities, in addition to Identifying the role of National Defense College in qualifying senior officers of the armed forces and national cadres in various ministries and national institutions, to be able to formulate policies of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan at national, regional and international levels. The program of the visit, which was attended by the delegation of 115 participants, included a lecture by Director of Military Intelligence, Brigadier General Azzam Al-Rawahneh, on challenges and threats at the national and regional levels, and a lecture by the Minister of Interior, Mazen Al-Faraya, on role of the ministry in maintaining national security, which is represented in preserving state's entity and highlighting ministry's strategy and objectives. And a lecture by the Speaker of House of Representatives, Abdel Karim Al-Daghmi, on role of the Legislative and Oversight Council on Executive Authority to achieve the comprehensive national interest. At the end of the visit, the delegation listened to a lecture by the Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fayez Khoury, on ministry's strategy and its role in supporting Jordanian position at the international level and demonstrating Jordan's foreign policy based on "dialogue, communication, moderation and moderation." It is noteworthy that this visit is carried out almost periodically by NATO Defense College to member and partner countries, and is an affirmation of the importance of relationship and close cooperation between NATO and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
