The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Science and Technology DR.deyaa al-deen arfa gave a lecture entitled “Science and Technology as one of the elements of the national force and its role in security, defense and national development" for scholars in the 19th National Defense Course, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Brigadier General Dr. Awad Al-Tarawneh, president and directing staff of college.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Science and Technology said: "People of science, technology, culture and various sectors must create a generation capable of making its future and building to meet the challenges and have a spirit of citizenship in an appropriate environment, by sharing wisdom and visions and strengthening cooperation to create a new society, so that digital science and technology have an essential role in national power and a key focus in national security, defence and development.
Dr. Dia El-Din indicated that the council is a council with strategic thinking, an institutional and legislative framework, rational governance, efficient and effective management that performs its main functions in formulating national policies and strategies, preparing executive plans and programs within the science, technology and creativity system, and transmits them efficiently and effectively, and is keen on overall quality in operations and outputs.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council explained that technology and scientific research contribute to creating a generation capable of development and progress, adapting to the challenges of the times and good citizenship in a friendly environment. Space towards positive uses.
He pointed out that the Corona pandemic led to the collapse of the economy of large companies, which necessitates that we focus on absorbing the lesson and changing the approach to dealing with crises and relying on productivity and self-reliance, finding alternatives to the current prevailing patterns of production and consumption, reducing the part that depends on the past and increasing the part related to the development of cultures future and complementing it with its new implications to face challenges and take advantage of opportunities.
