Retired Colonel Engineer Samer Al-Majali gave a lecture today, onSunday, at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College, entitled "Contemporary Technologies and Defense Industries in Jordan" for scholars of the 18th Defense Course, in the presence of the college commandant, Chairman and members of the directing staff at the college.
Al-Majali said that the center aims to provide creative solutions, harness advanced technology to serve national security and peace, enhance independence, and increase competitiveness by developing and maintaining industrial capabilities and local human competencies, and supporting scientific research, in addition to adapting to any task required in the interest of national security.
He added that the defense industries are considered one of the strongest indications of the state’s strength and prevention and its ability to deal with the security situation and the expected threats internally and externally, which is reflected in the independence and sovereignty of the state (national security).
Today, defense industries, especially armament systems and defense systems with advanced technology, are among the strongest sources of income for industrialized countries. .
