The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation lectures at the National Defense College
Today ,on Sunday The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Wissam Rabadi, delivered a lecture at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College, entitled “The Roles and Duties of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and its Role in Strategic Development Planning” for scholars in the 18th Defense Course, in the presence of the college Commander, Chairman and members of the directing staff in the college.
Dr. Rabadi said: “Strategic planning is an organized process to choose the best possible solutions to reach specific goals in light of the material capabilities and available resources during a specific period of time, and that the stages of the development planning process in Jordan go through several stages, starting with an assessment of the current situation and defining the most prominent challenges and long-term goals. And short term, in addition to developing indicators for measuring monitoring and evaluation performance.
Al-Rabadi stressed that best practices will be applied in the process of preparing existing government plans and programs, such as the public investment management program, the reform matrix on balanced growth and job creation, and financial reform programs, through a participatory approach with all relevant institutions, and partnership with the private sector through The Partnership Unit in the Prime Ministry, referring to the ministry's role in building an effective system for monitoring and evaluation in the public sector, which in turn reflects positively on the process of government decision-making and the preparation of various economic and social programs and plans.
At the end of the lecture, the guest lecturer answered the students ’questions and inquiries.
