On
Sunday ,The Commandant of the Royal Jordanian National Defense College
inaugurated the Parallel Training and Citizenship Program for the fourth
session of lecturers of military science courses at Jordanian universities. The
opening ceremony was attended by the Director of Military Education and
Culture, members of the directing staff, and the Director of the University
Education Department.
In his address, the Commandant stated that this program
contributes to strengthening the concept of national security, given that this
group is the most interactive with scholars from public and private
universities. He added that they represent the segment of society capable of
effecting positive change, fortifying and refining their character by
reinforcing their sense of national identity. This initiative is inspired by
the Royal vision regarding the importance of developing and investing in human
resources.
The program aims to enhance communication between the
National Defense College and universities, address present circumstance and future
national security issues, and solidify the concepts of national identity and
citizenship among scholars. This is achieved through training and qualifying
lecturers to be active agents in developing national thought and shaping the
character of new generations, in accordance with the Royal vision of investing
in national resources.
