The Royal Jordanian National
Defense College and the Arab Forum signed today a MoU to enhance cooperation in
academic and intellectual fields between the two parties.
This agreement comes in line
with the Royal directives and the follow-up of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs
of Staff to strengthen cooperation across various academic and intellectual
domains, develop partnerships, and recognize the importance of collaboration
and consultation in addressing intellectual issues in the Arab world. It aims
to establish a framework for cooperation between the two sides that would
develop and consolidate intellectual, scientific, and research ties to confront
the challenges facing thought-related issues, while promoting mutual benefit
and the exchange of expertise.
The MoU aims to expand joint
cooperation with the Arab Forum in educational aspects, scientific research,
and strategic studies, and in all areas that serve their common objectives
through consultation, exchange of views, mutual visits, joint studies,
workshops, seminars, books, periodicals, and scientific and cultural
information.
It also includes the
implementation of joint projects consistent with their goals and serving
intellectual, scientific, and security-related issues, including cooperation
and participation in the fields of cyber security, and regional and
international maritime security, as well as the exchange of scientific and
practical expertise, particularly those related to planning, strategic
assessment, and lessons learned at the Arab and regional levels.
The MoU was signed on behalf of
JAF by the Commandant of the College, Brigadier General Imad Abdul Latif Al-Batoush,
