A
training course titled "Strategy and Senior Leadership" was launched
on, Sunday, at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College via the Zoom
platform. The course was held in cooperation with the Near East and South Asia
Center for Strategic Studies (NESA). The course was attended by the commander,
the chief, and members of the directing staff
Wersema,
an academic lecturer from NESA, said, "The mission of the NESA Center for
Strategic Studies is to enhance security in the Near East and South Asia by
building sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships, promoting regional
cooperation on security issues, and enhancing effective communication and
strategic capacity through open and frank interaction in the academic
environment."
He
added that the center is working to hold educational courses in partnership
with civilian and military educational institutions, such as the Royal
Jordanian National Defense College, which focus on the impact of globalization
on regional strategic issues, the changing strategic environment, and the
elements of strategic planning.
The five-day course aims to introduce scholars
to the fundamentals of leadership and strategic decision-making, to the
philosophy of professional strategic thinking and learning, and its importance
for decision-making. It also aims to study changes in contemporary warfare
methods and tools, strategic and operational adaptation, and to analyze the
risks resulting from strategic decisions, while presenting realistic regional
scenarios that reinforce the theoretical framework
