On Tuesday Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, attended a symposium titled "Strategic Environment Analysis and Risk Management" at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College .

During the symposium, attended by a number of senior officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces, Major General Al-Huneiti emphasized the importance of leveraging the expertise, competencies, and opportunities offered by the college to scholars, which will positively impact strategic planning in light of the changes and challenges facing Jordanian national security.

The symposium covered several topics, most notably the unification and integration of state efforts at the national level when confronting various crises, in addition to the advance preparation of emergency plans and the mechanism for strengthening strategic partnerships regionally and internationally.

The symposium aims to analyze developments and events, as well as the most important lessons learned, in light of the conditions and developments witnessed in the strategic environment, with the aim of developing operational concepts, modern warfare methods, and emerging technologies in a way that contributes to enhancing the readiness of the Jordanian Armed Forces by utilizing available capabilities and potential in line with developments in the strategic environment.

At the end of the symposium, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff praised the college's level of dialogue and exchange of ideas and opinions, as well as its realistic approach to addressing issues at various national, regional, and international levels.

It is worth noting that the National Defense College is dedicated to preparing leadership elements from various state sectors by studying and analyzing the key elements influencing national security. It also aims to qualify an elite group of officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces and sister and friendly countries to occupy important and prominent positions in times of peace and war. It also educates various leaders in the field of national security and state strategy, and conducts strategic studies on issues related to national security in current circumstances.
