The
National Security - Promising Leadership exercise was launched at the Royal
Jordanian National Defense College, with the participation of former Prime
Minister Samir Al-Rifai, Assistant Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for
Operations and Training Brigadier General Naji Al-Manaseer, and a number of
senior officers from the armed forces. The exercise, implemented by the college
and conducted in the field of strategic planning and state management as part
of the administrative and leadership training of its students, was attended by
the college commandant and members of the guidance staff.
The
two-week exercise aims to prepare strategic leaders at the state level for the military
and civilian sectors, including participants from sisterly and friendly
countries, in light of the developments witnessed in the strategic environment,
with its local, regional, and international dimensions. It also aims to equip
participants with the methodology of strategic planning and methods for
managing the state, including its various sectors and agencies, during major
crises and at all planning levels.
The
exercise also includes an introduction to the most prominent national security
issues and the requirements for dealing with them, the Jordanian national
security system and its working mechanisms, strategic planning at the national
level, policy and strategy planning, and operational and mobilization planning.
Al-Rifai
and the attendees praised the students' performance in executing the exercise,
which enhances the college's ability to prepare leaders in the field of
strategic planning in light of the changes and challenges facing national
security.
