The President of the Judicial Council, the President of the Court of Cassation, Judge Mahmoud Al-Ababneh, confirmed, The justice sector is one of the sovereign and pivotal sectors in the Jordanian state, and constitutes One of the main pillars on which the Kingdom is based in consolidating its sovereignty and establishing sovereignty Law.

This came during a lecture he delivered at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College Entitled "The Role of the Judiciary in Enhancing Jordanian National Security", for students of the defense course National (23), in the presence of the College's Commander, its President, and members of the Steering Board.

Al-Ababneh indicated that the Judicial Council is at the top of the pyramid of the judicial authority and is in charge of Formulating judicial policies in a way that enhances the independence of the judiciary and achieves justice and effectiveness judicial proceedings, as it relates to all matters related to regular judges, and the Opinion on judicial legislation, and proposing their development in accordance with best practices and requirements in addition to supervising the work of the courts, the Public Prosecution and monitoring the performance and quality.

He noted the pivotal role played by the military judiciary as a judicial institution within the Jordanian judicial system, stressing that facilitating access to justice and consolidating The rule of law and building an attractive judicial environment for investment are key pillars in the process of Judicial Development.

Al-Ababneh also addressed aspects of cooperation and partnership between the Judicial Council and various state institutions, especially local administrations, courts and the Ministry of Justice, praising with the logistical support provided by the Ministry to the Judiciary.

At the end of his lecture, he reviewed the most prominent achievements of the judiciary and its development plans To keep abreast of the latest developments in the fields of litigation.
